Survey: Employees want video collaboration tools
That is because, according to the report, many businesses don’t provide video portals or tools for their employees to use. This, even though 90% of those responding say there is a need for video within the business.
“Organizations looking at the next level of communications tools should be considering video on their portals as a top priority,” said Vern Hanzlik, senior vice president and general manager, Qumu. “The industry research tells us that employees are ready; now companies need to follow their lead and start deploying the tools and resources to meet employee demand.”
Some interesting findings include:
• 64% say video training for office workers is important
• 44% would like video options for human resources/employee benefits departments
• 40% say video is important for executive/internal communications
According to Qumu the best option for those interested in integrating video with their infrastructure is to put video options under the same umbrella as other rich media assets. With both video and other rich media formats in a single place, the content can be better managed and integrated within branded content, and distributed throughout different departments more efficiently.
