"Access to Rich Media tools is the key to delivering highly effective mobile campaigns," said Jack Hallahan, Vice President of Mobile Innovation with Mojiva. "Industry efforts to simplify the process, stay in front of trends, and freely innovate will drive greater value and visibility into mobile. Mojiva is going beyond a self-serve open alliance by collaborating in Rich Media strategy and execution."

"We've heard time and time again the need for a better understanding of what is possible when advertising on mobile devices. The Mobile Creative Alliance gives marketers and agencies a catalogue of creative and engaging opportunities that showcase what can be accomplished today, in an open environment, and hopefully inspires all to help shape where mobile advertising will go tomorrow," said Tom Nethercutt, General Manager, North America for Mojiva.

How big is the mobile space? New numbers are in from comScore, finding that more than 230 million Americas (aged 13 +) used mobile devices in the month of February. Nearly 70 million are now using smartphones. The majority of these consumers are using mobiles to text (68.8%), but other mobile uses are gaining traction. More than 38% are now using mobile Internet browsers, 36% are downloading apps and almost 27% are accessing social networks from their mobiles.
