Mobile getting more interest

From consumers and brands, what we're hearing lately is mobile, mobile, mobile. Consumers want more mobile devices, they want to shop and they want to buy. Brands just want to find the consumers. Where are they? In the mobile space, some still using feature phones but many with smartphones, tablets or other portable devices.

"This is nothing short of an explosion of publisher interest in better monetization of Android content," said Shawn Scheuer, CEO and co-founder of Moolah Media. "While Android has built a sizeable consumer base, the need for better revenue solutions is glaringly apparent and offers a great opportunity for our publisher and advertiser base."

This week, Moolah Media announced an expansion into the Android marketplace. The mobile ad network launched in November and reports they are already serving 150 million impressions with a generation of 300,000 paid leads each month. Their platform works through apps, messaging and on the mobile web.

Meanwhile, real-time answers service ChaCha has been named one of the fastest growing mobile publishers according to Nielsen. Their traffic increased more than 100% in 2010 and, according to company information, they have answered more than one billion questions. They have nearly 32 million unique users each month and answer three million questions each day.

"In 2010, we had massive growth, with our monthly web traffic jumping from 17 million last January to nearly 32 million this month," said Scott Jones, ChaCha CEO.
