Plimus integrates with PayPal's Digital Goods Solution

Small businesses will have one more payment option very soon: PayPal. e-Business platform Plimus has been tapped to integrate into PayPal's new Digital Goods Payment Solution, which will give the 50,000 small businesses in Plimus' network access to the one-step payment option of PayPal.

PayPal has been offered to Plimus clients in the past; the new integration will keep customers on-site, however, rather than redirecting them to the PayPal website to login and authorize payments to etailers. Making the payment seamless and cutting out those extra steps should increase the customer experience for many of these small businesses.

"Of the 40 types of payments accepted by our platform, PayPal is among the most popular and trusted," said Charles Born, Plimus Vice President of Marketing. "PayPal secures our customers' personal financial information, includes built in fraud and risk management, and accepts payments from around the globe."

With more etailers and small businesses looking into the global marketplace to increase sales and revenue, a payment option that is global makes solid business sense. The Plimus platform is a global e-commerce solution which helps small businesses build and manage their online arms.

According to recent data from the National Retail Federation, many small businesses and etailers are looking at expanding into the global space because of the recession. The problem, for many, has been executing sales and marketing efforts in many languages and the ability to accept foreign currencies. A global epayment solution such as PayPal is one answer that could help smaller businesses take that final step into the global space.
