App allows consumers to review in real time

Consumers talk. It is no secret, but the Internet has made it simpler for consumers to connect - with one another and with brands - through reviews. A new app may give brands a better handle on reviews by making consumer reviews available in real time.

A new app release from DialogCentral makes it easy for consumers to give their feedback on products of services in real time. A coup for brands doing it 'right' and another reason for brands of all sizes to pay more attention to customer service and product information.

The app works by first pinpointing consumers' location and giving them a list of businesses nearby. From there, the consumer chooses the business/store and a grouping of comment areas appears. The consumer can then enter their review or experience. That report is then uploaded to the DialogCentral database.

The information can help brands keep a finger on the pulse of the community. For example, a brand could know about a bad review as soon as it is posted rather than waiting for news of that bad review to become part of the public consciousness. Having that extra step can help brands polish the tarnish on their reputation by implementing changes or otherwise interacting with the consumer.

Having a platform such as this in app form could make it even more beneficial to brands and marketers. Although games still rank as the most-used apps, social apps are growing in popularity as is online shopping. As consumers connect with their social networks, they will likely also begin sharing shopping experiences - both online and offline. Apps such as DialogCentral's may help them make stronger connections.
