Demandbase platform identifies, funnels online shoppers

A new application for merchants or customer service entities should help to funnel traffic to the appropriate vendors. From Demandbase, the platform first identifies who has logged on and then funnels that visitor to the appropriate assistance provider. For example, an existing business client would be funneled to an assistant who works with existing clients rather than an assistant who focuses on new clients.

This ability should help business to business (B2B) companies push more conversions, support and engagement. It is built in the cloud so the information provided is real-time, without lagging information which is off-putting to visitors.

The information is provided in real-time and allows live chatting abilities. The assistant is provided with the business visitor's company, industry, size, location and other personalized information. The information can then be used by the virtual assistant to present the visitor with recommendations or information based on previous visits. A business visitor who needs to talk to an assistant with aviation experience would be routed to that expert rather than an assistant with experience in bussing or another industry segment.
