Get Friendly With Those Bloggers – You Can Benefit

Generally bloggers are thought of as independent individuals commenting on the modern world. But a growing trend of offering them a financial incentive for covering certain products or services puts them in a whole new light.

Previously BizReport wrote about the ethics of doing so, mentioning the first of its kind PayPerPost site. Yesterday a similar service was launched called ReviewMe offering to promote a product by setting you up with a blogger. What a better way to break into this continually expanding niche with your product name or brand? Or is it?

Bloggers are not obliged to paint a rosy picture of your services. They are getting paid to write about your product. That is it. So as long as you believe that even bad publicity is good publicity, you can resort to this method. On the other side, you might get lucky and the blogger will be as pleased with your product/brand as you are. In any case, a personal review will be taken much closer to heart by other users than a flashy banner. So this type of marketing has definitely the capacity to blow some fresh air into your otherwise settled marketing routine. You will get instant feedback on your product, good or bad, and if lucky, might even start a discussion online, hopefully a positive one.
