NowRelevant adds niche search widget to toolset

“NowRelevant.com is a clean and simple way to search,” said Curt Dalton, owner of NowRelevant. “Users are not confronted with shopping results, image results, video results or outdated information, but instead are presented with only the most relevant articles and blog posts. Now users won’t have to sift through pages of information that is outdated or irrelevant to the subject matter they’re seeking.”

While the engine makes it simpler to consumers to find relevant and timely information, search marketers can also benefit from the toolset. The engine works by filtering out any data older than fourteen days, giving marketers the ability to see what is happening with keywords, phrases and brand names chronologically. For example, a marketer might input a keyword. The results received would be most recent to most distant, giving them a kind of magnifying glass look into how the keyword has been used and interacted with over the course of 14 days. The information can then be used to tweak campaigns for better overall performance.

The new search engine can be placed on a website, blog or social networking profile page to help visitors find information from that site. For instance, a publisher might install the widget so that visitors can find articles or posts about Breast Cancer Awareness; the filtered results would be within the past 14 days rather than gathering information from months and years past – results that are likely not what the visitor is looking for.
