Top 3 tips to create stronger video content

Consumers are streaming more video content every day, from short-form, user-generated content to long-form, streaming first content creating by entertainment studios. And right in the middle is branded content, in the form of ads and promotional videos. Here are three tips to create stronger video content.

First, find the message that suits your customers

"Different approaches work for different brands, and you want to find the message that relates best to your customer. Regardless of whether you are selling business enterprise solutions or children's toys, we can all recognize and relate to humor, love, and compassion. If you can get your video to evince one of those emotions, you're likely to capture users' attention," said Tom More, Founder, Slidely.

Second, convey a clear message

"All too often, you see ads with no clear storyline or too many messages. If you even finish watching the ad, you're probably not sure what to take away. Engaging content should always spotlight your brand or logo and convey a clear message - even as simple as 'come visit our store.' Otherwise, you've missed an opportunity to create brand awareness or convert a potential customer," said More.

Third, remember the emotion

"Always remember, you're much more likely to win someone over through their heart rather than their head," said More.
