Ad Roundup: Tools for mobile, linking

In today's advertising roundup two new releases that should give brands more power over their mobile and online campaigns.

by Kristina Knight

First, Urban Airship has launched a new mobile platform that give brands the ability to understand the 'why' of customer engagement. Through the platform, analysis helps these marketers determine how ads or content influenced a click, offers conversion funnel reporting and recency, frequence and monetary value stats.

"We are changing the game in how companies of all sizes and levels of sophistication can extract massive value from mobile data by immediately putting it into action for more targeted, responsive and successful user experiences," said Brett Caine, president and CEO, Urban Airship. "We believe the new capabilities afforded by Connect and Insight will take customer results to an entirely new level of engagement and ROI, with the potential to go even higher than the ROI our customers can experience with our engagement platform alone, as recently calculated by an independent third-party at 878 percent."

Meanwhile, link management platform Bitly has launched Bitly Campaigns. The new offering is part of their Brand Tools suite, which gives marketers and brands the ability to not only build and manage but measure their campaigns.

"Bitly has always been focused on empowering marketers to provide the best possible customer experience, but we know it's getting harder to communicate effectively due to the growing number of customer touch points," said Matt Thomson, Chief Product Officer at Bitly. "We're in a unique position to solve this omnichannel dilemma for marketers because links are the basis for all customer interaction, giving Bitly unmatched insight into how consumers engage with content across the web and mobile. We shorten and provide intelligence on almost one billion new links every month, and that click data is vital to marketers looking to understand which channels appeal to customers and which devices customers use when interacting with a brand."
