Password management solution offered free to students, teachers

Data breaches made many headlines in 2014, and are likely to made many headlines in 2015 as well. No matter how often passwords are changed or how difficult they are made, hackers will find a way. But one password management solution is hoping to help some keep a better handle on their passwords.

Siber Systems is offering their RoboForm Everywhere solution - for free - to anyone with a higher education email address. That means college or university students, professors, etc, can upgrade their security on both computer and mobile devices free of charge.

Here's how RoboForm Everywhere works: the platform helps users set up a single 'master' password to be used across their devices and as logins to various websites. Roboform then enters the passwords across devices.

Security experts advise consumers use both upper and lower case letters as well as numbers and symbols to create stronger passwords.

"Hacking and data breaches are a growing threat worldwide," said Bill Carey, Siber Systems VP of Marketing. "We believe that good password management practices should start early and know that it can be a challenge to create multiple strong passwords for use on every site, especially when users access sites on different devices. RoboForm Everywhere makes it easy, and now students, professors and faculty with a valid college or university email address can get RoboForm Everywhere absolutely free."

The free version can be found here.
