Report reveals which magazine media brands attract the most social attention
In research aimed at investigating consumer demand for magazine brands across multiple platforms, non-profit trade association The Association of Magazine Media, found that magazine media brands currently attract the most Followers and Likes on Facebook.

Using data from social media optimization company SocialFlow, The Association of Magazine Media (MPA) analyzed 166 of its member brands' Followers and Likes on Facebook, Google+, Instagram, Pinterest and Twitter.
The Magazine Media 360° Social Media Report found that media magazine brands currently experience the most social interaction, in the form of Likes and Followers, on Facebook. The social network accounts for nearly half (49.8%) of the industry's total social media interactions.
However, in terms of growth of the number of Followers and Likes within the last three months, Instagram is outpacing all other social networks.
The magazine that has the most Followers and Like across all social platforms is National Geographic. It has just over 32.5 million Facebook LIkes, 7.5 million Twitter Followers, 7.3 million Google+ Followers, 8.6 million Instagram Followers and 4.6 million Pinterest Followers. Overall, that's more than 56 million social Likes and Followers compared to second place Time.com with 20.1 million.
"In issuing the report, magazine media became the first media industry to capture and report brands' social media performance across networks," says Maura Curtin, VP of Marketing at SocialFlow.
