Ecommerce RoundUp: Search, lead auditing and device security

Just in time for the holidays, a trio of solutions are releasing into the online space, set up to increase security and to help retailers better engage with customers online.

First, LeadiD is launching an online tool that monitors and audits customer leads in real time without putting brands' privacy compliance at risk.

"Recent privacy violations involving several well-known brands underscore the need for qualified consumer intelligence," said Ross Shanken, CEO, LeadiD. "It's a critical issue that can be avoided - one that marketers should proactively address. At the same time, it's imperative they are able to prove the compliance of consumer data and consumer actions. With LeadiD, marketers can easily gain visibility into the compliance of every lead, every time."

Meanwhile, Reflektion is launching an on-site personalized and visual search option for etailers. The search option uses one to one personalization and product images to return real time, relevant search results to online shoppers.

"Using Reflektion's Personalized Site Search, many of our clients' site search usage has jumped from 6 percent to more than 30 percent," said Sean Moran, CEO of Reflektion. "This is based on repeat visitors finding that search has become a highly efficient way to find the things they are most interested in and subsequently, conversion rates and revenue increase quickly as well. Increased use of search has tremendous impact on our clients' bottom line because it is a higher converting source, subsequently dramatically impacting revenue."

Finally, Kensington has released the Security Slot Development Kit; the solution offers physical security for mobile device manufacturers and developers. The new SDK underlines the importance of security not only for mobile phones or PCs but for laptops and other peripheral devices.

"The increasing enterprise demand for BYOD device security is creating a significant market opportunity for manufacturers that offer built-in physical security solutions to protect their customers from the increasing risk of loss or theft of intellectual property," said Rob Humphrey, Director of Global Business Development, Security Products, Kensington. "With our comprehensive OEM Developers Kit and new Security Slot Specifications, we are making it easy for laptop and mobile device manufacturers to deliver the rock-solid security features customers want, regardless of the size of their device."
