Amazon is furthering its foray into fashion with the upcoming opening of what will be the largest fashion photography studio in Europe.

Amazon already has two corporate offices in London, U.K., with a third planned. However, a new Amazon location has been added to the country's capital - a photography studio. At 46,000 square-feet Amazon is claiming it is the biggest fashion photography studio in Europe.

Last year, Amazon opened a 40,000 square foot studio in Brooklyn, New York.

According to Sergio Bucher, VP of Amazon Fashion EU, fashion is one of the fastest growing of Amazon's business ventures, particularly across Europe, adding that "this new studio illustrates both our ambitions in this area and our dedication to providing a first class customer experience".

The studio will employ a staff of around 35 who will be tasked with taking thousands of photographs daily. During peak seasons as many as 50 or so freelancers will be brought in to keep things ticking over. It will be based in a former glass factory in Geffrye Street in the trendy Hoxton area of London.

"We continue to invest heavily in London and are delighted to make it the new home for Amazon's fashion photography across Europe" said Christopher North, Managing Director of Ltd. "By summer 2015, around 2,000 corporate employees will be based in London across three offices and this brand new studio. We expect to create thousands of new jobs in the capital over the coming years."
