LINKETT is one platform which can track every phone that walks into your store, and offer targeted mobile advertising to only those phones and not random ones, so you are getting the best ROI on your advertising spend. According to early forecasts mobile will be very important for retailers throughout the 2014 holiday season. How can your business capitalize?

First, pick a solution with real time monitoring.

"Solutions such as LINKETT can tell you instantly what your engagement rates are, what your expected ROI is, and the ability to change offers remotely," said Douglas Lusted, CEO, LINKETT. "For example, if you are marketing to mobile users "blue shoes on sale" have the ability to change that messaging once you sell-out of "blue shoes" and be able to easily change your message to "green shoes on sale". Be prepared."

Second, be loyal.

"Pick a solution you can use more than once. Marketing to shoppers' mobile device on Black Friday is a great way to get their attention, however, offer rewards in exchange for customer information like email addresses, phone numbers, social media sign-ups, etc. so you can market to shoppers after black Friday," said Lusted. "Easy way to do this is offer promotions in exchange for them joining your loyalty program."

Third, get personal.

"Do not spam peoples mobile devices, nobody likes that. Instead, give personalized mobile messaging that is targeted to consumers in your location, with personalized offers," said Lusted. "Technology is out there (like LINKETT) that can offer specific mobile content depending on who that shopper is. Do not blast "womens blue shoes" to males for example. 1 to 1 interaction is much more effective that the shot gun approach."
