Ad Roundup: Launches to increase mobile, social capabilities

The mobile and social spaces are heating up this month; three new product launches could set brands up to increase their mobile and social reach in time for the holiday season.

First, Sizmek has launched an omnichannel ad platform that is set up to bridge the gap between marketers' mobile, video, social and display efforts. Through the platform brands can create customized ads for these channels and then personalize those messages to gain relevance.

"Advertisers need to be able to share and tailor their brand story across every screen and channel seamlessly," said Ricky Liversidge, CMO and Head of Product at Sizmek. "From customized multi-product Catalog Ads to weather-targeted campaigns, Sizmek's customers are continually pushing the envelope with how they use Dynamic Creative," continued Liversidge. "Now, by making scalable Dynamic Creative available on desktop, mobile, social, video, we can open up even more opportunities for innovation and consumer relevance."

Meanwhile YouAppi has closed a $3 million funding round. The mobile customer acquisition platform is launching a mobile customer acquisition platform that identifies acquisition patterns in apps and mobile browsers to drive high lifetime customer values. The SDK free platform measures in real time to monetize inventory for more than 1000 publishers.

"After spending time and working together with mobile marketers, we realized that what they need is a data-driven technology platform which has been optimized for Lifetime Customer Value, not merely delivering installs," said Moshe Vaknin, Founder & CEO, YouAppi. Moshe is a serial entrepreneur now managing his fourth digital marketing startup.

Finally Spot.IM is launching an embedded social network tool for publishers; this will allow websites to become their own social network.

"We're creating a new social infrastructure that will overlay the web, giving site owners a way to join the social age and succeed," said Nadav Shoval, CEO and Co-Founder of Spot.IM. "While existing social networks provide an effective way for publishers to reach new users and drive traffic to their site, Spot.IM gives site owners the ability to keep those users, and the conversation they have, in the place where the content was created."

Early adopters of the solution include Red Bull, Time Out and Kerrang.
