Multifactor authentication added to RoboForm

Everyone wants a more secure online experience, but most consumers also report they want less friction in their transactions - everything from signing in to their local newspaper to simpler online banking. A new release from RoboForm is set up to make those logins more frictionless while still offering security.

The privacy of personal data is high on most consumers' online complaint lists; recent data breaches have made many leery of using credit and debit cards online and even in stores.

This week Siber Systems is releasing their multifactor authentication protocol for their RoboForm tool. RoboForm allows users to use secure sign-ins across their online destinations and syncs data across their devices.

The new offering, a multifactor authentication process, adds more security to the platform by identifying new devices consumer use to log in to their banks, retailer and social media sites. Consumers simple 'turn on' the multifactor authentication within their account and when they login from an unknown device, a password is sent to their email to verify that device.

"Online security is more important to people than ever. With hackers doing their best to penetrate databases containing credit card numbers and other confidential information, it's critical to operate in a trusted environment," said Bill Carey, Siber Systems VP of Marketing. "Our new multifactor authentication accomplishes that with a minimum level of effort, giving RoboForm Everywhere users much greater peace-of-mind."
