If they use tax filing software they should be aware if their information is being saved on the company's servers and take steps to protect it including using a secure password. Consumers are always drawn to the convenience of digital tax filing and often forget about having extra safeguards on their devices. This is especially important to consider during the period of time when financial documents are known to be available on many devices. Tax season signals even more risk to consumers than usual, therefore it's important to take proactive measures to protect personal data.
