UnitedLex release to streamline business efficiencies

A new release from UnitedLex, called Questio, is set up to reduce the costs and risks of eDiscovery for legal teams as well as to streamline how data is collected, validated and then used in legal documentation.

by Kristina Knight

Data collection costs may be lowered by as much as 40% using the Questio solution, according to the company, while the data cultivated and used in reports is validated, improving the efficiency in data collection and usage.

"Questio is set to change the economics and practice of eDiscovery by bridging the gap between the use of technology and the practice of law," said Dave Deppe, President of UnitedLex. "With Questio, legal teams now have a more efficient and cost-effective way to identify and extract only the most relevant information from massive volumes of data and make more informed, strategic decisions at an earlier stage. This not only saves time, effort and money but it could also have a material impact on the outcome of legal cases."

Here's how Questio works: search results are validated and paired with analytical tools so that the final, processed documents are more efficient. According to UnitedLex, up to 80% of processed documents in the legal field are 'unresponsive' because the team developing the information doesn't have proper access to interactive search results to remove those unwanted records.

"Legal teams and UnitedLex experts strategically work together to normalize search terms, identify and eliminate false hits, and identify material points of interest of cases and investigations. Proprietary technology reads from forensic images, including file types, data ranges, exact files and folder paths notated during custodian interviews," writes the company.
