Telly's new discovery app creates deeper social video experience

In the social space, advertising and video content is all about the experience. Seamless viewing, and intuitive sharing options are key, and a new offering from Telly should help brands capitalize on both. Called the Social Video Discovery App, the platform is set up to create a deeper video experience for Android tablet users.

According to some estimates, more than 80% of Americans are on Facebook; add in Twitter and professional networks like LinkedIn and the social space is ripe with consumers looking for content. Much of the content sought is video but it can also be hard to find. Enter the Telly Social Video Discovery App, which simplifies how viewers find and share content.

"With tablets being the fastest growing mobile device for video discovery, we have been working hard to develop the best way to discover, watch and share great videos on the larger mobile screen," said Telly CEO Mo Al Adham. "We've designed our Android tablet app from the ground up with casual mobile video discovery in mind. Features like Telly's carousel view and our social My Telly feed have changed the way people watch video on mobile devices, and we are thrilled to bring features like these to Android tablet users."

The Telly app allows users to create, browse and discover video content through a feed system which highlights content a user's friends are watching or through most-viewed clips. Once a viewer sees a clip and decides to share, the app uses near field communications to transfer clips to friends' devices. Meanwhile, for in-network sharing options, users can tag friends to start a conversation over a clip or content piece.
