Get Satisfaction upgrades platform

An upgrade to the Get Satisfaction platform should help online businesses push higher levels of engagement through the online experience. Through the platform online brands can now offer simpler on-site search, 'related' information and navigation and can offer categorized information.

Get Satisfaction is a mobile community experience hub, set up to help brands create more intensive mobile experiences; the upgraded features are available at no additional charge.

"Your customers will now see a mobile optimized website when accessing your community from an iPhone, iPod, or Android device," writes the company. "The new mobile experience provides easier discovery and navigation, better support for your most active users, and a new sub-community experience designed around categories."

Here's the breakdown of the new features:

• Along with company logos and category description, the community features will also include support links and detailed pages
• On-site search and compose boxes for the community areas
• Simplified navigation so that mobile users can more easily find conversations or categories of interest to them, potentially keeping them on-site longer.

In addition to upgrades for the user side, brands utilizing the platform can more easily monitor conversations, sort and filter recent conversations and offer improved community voting options.

"The new mobile site supports iPhone (5.1.1+), iPod (5.1.1+), and Android (2.3.3+). Users that access your community on one of these supported mobile devices are automatically redirected to this new version of the community," writes the company. "Although we redirect to the mobile site only for these browsers, the site is built using HTML5 standards and supports most modern Webkit-based browsers. Over time, we plan to open up official support for other devices as well."
