Content suite upgrade eases management for publishers

This week OpenText is releasing an upgrade of their OpenText Media Management suite of tools; the upgrades include solutions to ease the creation, integration and distribution of online content. Through the solution content creators or marketing entities can also send embedded files much more quickly, helping to relieve the back-up of files for teams of collaborators.

"Our customers strive to create content that can be easily repurposed, reused, reformatted and transformed for use across multiple platforms and devices," said Kevin Cochrane, OpenText's CMO. "The latest release of OpenText Media Management meets these demands by providing integrated tools for world-class digital asset management of video, audio, images and all of your digital media files throughout the enterprise. Integrated into the entire digital marketing and distribution process, Media Management 7.2 ensures a highly compelling and impactful customer experience."

One of the more interesting features for branded content creators is the collaboration section; through this area marketing professionals in cross-country offices can easily collaborate, create task management lists and transfer files more quickly between offices or computers. And, because the platform is a central hub, of sorts, everyone within a team can see that the brand message remains consistent.

In addition, there is a portal for media management that allows users inside and outside firewall-protected areas to search for digital assets.

The platform will be showcased the week of April 8 at the NAB Show 2013.
