Through the offering online brands can now use gamification methods to engage their employee bases, improving productivity in the social space. The Bunchball/Jive offering allows branded community managers to create incentivized game dynamics to lower costs while improving employee engagement - with both other employees and those outside the company.

"More enterprises are embracing gamification to drive sustained, pervasive engagement. By integrating Bunchball's Nitro gamification engine with the Jive platform in an advanced new Jive module, we're personalizing gamification with game mechanics that speak to the motivations, interests and aspirations of each employee," said Rajat Paharia, founder and CPO, Bunchball. "With Bunchball and Jive, gamification gets personal, whether at the workgroup level or across an entire enterprise."

"Companies across the globe are using Jive to transform the way they increase productivity and deliver meaningful business results," said Nathan Rawlins, vice president of product marketing, Jive. "Game mechanics, when woven into the social business activities, can encourage specific collaboration and communication behaviors, such as answering sales reps' questions to get proposals to market faster. There's no question the value that can provide."

Through the platform brands can:

• Create better personalization by tracking over 100 activities
• Improve integration of game mechanics with the Jive platform
• Use the Jive Advanced Gamification Module across initiatives to push engagement, customer service and communications

The new engine will be available for demos at the Marketo Summit in San Francisco April 8 through April 10.

Gamification could 'prevent' communities becoming virtual ghost towns. Activities, interactions are key to a communities success. Gamification based on personal interests & aspirations of the employees could do wonders. No doubt.
