Visible Technologies upgrades offering for better analytics
This week upgrades from Visible Technologies to their social media toolset should give marketers better understanding of what - and potentially who - they are influencing in the social space. Along with monitoring options, the platform now includes social scoring, enhanced search options and better widgets.
One of the more interesting enhancements for the platform is the Klout scoring option. Klout is an addition to sites like Twitter which tells how influential a brand or business is; for a brand this score can indicate if posts made are actually finding an audience or if the brands' tweets are falling on more deaf ears. At the same time, it identifies for the brand which followers have 'klout' with their followers. That influence can spread a brand's message faster.
"Brand leaders, marketers, and customer support teams need a fast and efficient way to analyze, assess and adjust to real-time consumer feedback," said Richard Pasewark, CEO of Visible. "Social strategy is becoming a focal point for corporations of every size; they demand solutions to access, understand, and act on the fresh consumer conversation happening on the social web. The Visible Intelligence platform - and these important new updates - provides a powerful competitive edge by making social data easy to access, simple to comprehend and relevant to the marketer."
Also new for social businesses are new search tools created to help brands drill into their analytics to see what is working and what isn't from a search perspective. Also, widgets have been enhanced so brands can see, in tag-cloud format if they wish, what keywords or terms are associated with their social presence.
Finally, another hot spot for the brand: a streamlined area for post control. From the new setting, the brand can see, from a single dash, which members of a marketing team are assigned which keywords, how those posts are performing and potentially spot trouble areas so that changes can be made.
