Coupon options may change how people redeem coupons, rewards
A new release from VerticalResponse may change the way businesses create coupons and how those coupons are then shared between consumers. And a new app in the marketplace is set up to make it simpler to schools to earn rewards. Read on for the details.
First up, from VerticalResponse, social platforms called Coupons and Clipper. The platforms are set up to first allow businesses to create and distribute coupons (the Coupons portal) and then allow for consumers to easily share coupons through their social networks (the Clipper portal).
"Small businesses know they need to be more active on social media, but finding time to share content that's engaging and drives sales is still a huge challenge," said Janine Popick, VerticalResponse CEO. "Our new Coupons and Clipper tools help solve this problem by making it as easy as possible for small businesses to promote incentives and content, giving new and existing customers a reason to connect with them on social media."
Meanwhile, Shoparoo has released a free mobile app which helps parents turn receipts into cash for their children's schools. Here's how the app works: After completing a purchase (grocery, retail, or other), the user takes a picture of the receipt and uploads to the app to earn 'Roo Points'. Those points can then be converted to cash for their child's school.
"Shoparoo takes school fundraising digital and makes it something that can be incorporated into everyday life for parents or anyone who wants to help better their community," said Jared Schrieber, Co-Founder and CEO, Shoparoo.
Mary Ley, Executive Director of Communication for Bentonville Public Schools in Arkansas said, "Shoparoo gives the faculty and other supporters a cost-free, convenient way to contribute funds to schools in order to help ensure the needs of all students are met."
