Mobile releases offer real-time information to consumers

In the mobile space real-time means engaging time. Because although consumers and shoppers are using mobile devices at high rates, many still turn to mobile when they need immediate access to information. For instance, a store location, ticket sales or a product coupon. Two new releases into the space promise real time, immersive information for consumers using mobile.

First, from LocalResponse and ShopLocal a mobile circular service set up to help drive foot traffic to stores via smartphone. Through the service shoppers check-in to favorite stores from the mobile device and are sent coupons and discounts to be used in-store.

Kathy Leake, president and co-founder, LocalResponse said, "Our ability to offer ShopLocal's SmartCircular product as a mobile experience makes POS promotions more relevant for consumers and we believe will significantly increase in-store redemptions and purchases that may not have occurred otherwise."

The ShopLocal SmartCircular has been around for several months, but with the addition of LocalResponse's real-time monitoring the potential for merchants should increase.

And from 955 Dreams an immersive mobile ad format, which delivers full-page, high-gloss ads across mobile screens. Both interstitial and static ads are offered. In addition, the platform has opened its publishing arm to real-time and daily content publishers.

"Our goal has always been to do right by our users and we didn't want to compromise our values by inserting ads that don't enhance the user's experience. So we built our own ad engine from the ground-up and created an experience that unlocks the potential of mobile advertising," said Kiran Bellubbi, Founder and CEO, 955 Dreams.
