Answering app offers more detail to mobile consumers

A new app in the mobile space could help consumers answer questions from a different perspective. Called Kngine, the question and answer app delves a bit deeper into the answer pool that Apple's SIRI service by including images, text and graphs to help answer those questions.

"Mobile consumers just want answers to their questions, not lists of links that may or may not lead to the answer," said Haytham ElFadeel, CEO and co-founder of Kngine. "The mobile devices they carry have small screens, and it is difficult to navigate through long lists of links on them. Kngine changes the mobile experience by making it fast and easy to get just what you need, when you need it."

The answers are based on content available so the engine is consistently 'learning' new information which can then be passed on to the consumer base. Questions like 'what does a lion weigh' could be gleaned from a zoo or wildlife expert. But, anyone who has used Apple's SIRI knows mobile consumers aren't just asking static questions like this.

They're also asking 'what is the best steak house in Amarillo' or 'where can I buy tickets for a New York Yankees game'. And this is where the content provided on a mobile website can come in handy. Quality content, contextually targeted and based, could potentially be used to answer these types of questions. Those answers may point consumers to a local business or expert.

The app is designed for use in the mobile/tablet space and will answer both text and voice questions; it can be used via desktop, as well. It is available for both iPhone and iPod Touch and Android handsets.
