Trio of releases uses cloud, location, mobile for businesses

Three new solutions for the mobile and cloud spaces could simplify advertising and some business solutions for users. From Sense Networks, mixin and Xero, the tools are new to the web this week.

From Sense Networks, a new set of advertising tools which use real-time location data from mobile devices to index location and consumer behavior to determine how mobile consumers might interact or engage with ads. AdMatch uses behavioral targeting to serve mobile display ads while AudienceSense helps publishers monetize content using behavior segmentation based on users' mobile data.

Meanwhile in the social sphere mixin, a social video startup, has exited from stealth mode promising to change the way viewers interact with video. The platform allows viewers to 'mix' their personal comments into online video clips and then share that version through their social graph.

"Mixin's technology starts with social interaction as the foundation so that videos serve as a way to connect friends and increase sharing," said Jon Goldman, CEO of mixin. "The customization, commenting and posting to Facebook allows users to add their personal stamp and humor to the videos they love. Now we are able to add this functionality to partners which means any content owner looking to add to video engagement and sharing can use our 'next generation' commenting as a solution."

Finally, Xero has acquired WorkflowMax, a suite of tools which should enable businesses to handle accounting practices through the cloud - lessening the time required to meet with clients while improving accounting practices and communication between clients and businesses.

"With the addition of WorkFlowMax to Xero's offering, I now use one online solution to service my clients and manage my entire practice. This has freed up a significant amount of time, improved my efficiency and allowed me to take on more clients, doubling my business," said Nick Bird, CPA, Xero Advisor and Owner of Lucid Books.
