ChoiceStream platform may help post-Valentine's conversions

The day of love is finally here - and check the lines at the florist, there will be men there in droves today - but that shouldn't stop a retail strategy. Although Valentine's day is a huge day for retailers it isn't the only day, and strategies put into play today can last an entire year. One such strategy is offering the consumer personalized recommendations.

The Neiman Marcus brand is one of the first specialty retailers to sign on to the platform. The retailer will rely on CONNECT to personalize product recommendations from the moment a shoppers clicks onto the store. The tool will also be used under the Horchow and Bergdorf Goodman brands.

So, although Valentine's day is nearly finished, platforms like CONNECT can learn from the behaviors exhibited and products purchased on this holiday and make recommendations for the shopper's next online purchase - be that Mother's Day, Christmas, an anniversary or even birthday.
