Coupons.com, Optify releases push social envelope

Two new releases in the social space may help retailers and brands increase their social profiles. From Coupons.com a coupon/social integration and from Optify a tool to help create landing pages and optimized social pages.

Digital coupon use is up more than 60% so far this year, according to Coupons.com. With so many consumers looking for, downloading/printing and using them, it makes sense for brands to engage through coupons. Now for the releases.

First, Coupons.com is releasing Brandcaster Social which allows brands to integrate coupons into banner ads or create galleries of coupon options; revenue from printed coupons is then shared between the publisher and Coupons.com. Brandcaster Social takes that one step further, by allowing brands to quickly integrate coupons into their Facebook Fan pages.

Text and graphics can be added within Facebook and the coupons can then be printed direct from the social network, which means shoppers stay on-site rather than needing to click around, get distracted or frustrated trying to 'find' a coupon on another site. The coupon campaigns can be launched in Facebook within 48 hours.

Meanwhile from Optify two tools to help brands increase conversions. The Landing Pages and Social Sharing tools enable brands to quickly create hosted and optimized landing pages, and to then share, promote and track social engagement across the social space. Brands can also track ROI across paid and organic search campaigns from the Landing Pages integration.

"These features are a direct response to customer requests to make it simple to build optimized pages for the real time web," said Brian Goffman, CEO and Co-Founder of Optify. "The web has become your marketing platform. Optify enables content to be discovered where users are spending their time."

Both the landing page and social tool can be created, updated and edited in real time to help with optimization efforts. As for increasing the social profile, Optify suggests making social interactions simple - simple calls to action, updated profiles and providing useful information.

With consumers spending more time within the social space, these simple upgrades should help increase brand awareness and engagement.
