Two launches may improve ecommerce ROI
This week marks two new hubs etailers may want to try out. The first, a new couponing site set up to appeal to female shoppers. The second, a tool which should help to better track and optimize social commerce situations.
The first, CouponCodes.com, was acquired and launched by Vertive, the parent company of Offers.com, so they have solid footing in the space.
"An increasing number of companies are using coupon codes to deliver savings to their customers and create awareness for new customers," said Steve Schaffer, founder and CEO of Vertive, LLC. "As consumers increasingly seek and use coupon codes and online coupons, we believe CouponCodes.com will deliver tremendous value for consumers every day. We plan to grow CouponCodes.com to become the go-to source for consumers looking for reliable coupon codes that work."
The hub will offer coupons from the top 2500 retailers with the 'best deals' vetted by an editorial team and updated daily so that interesting or high interest deals are always at the top of the page, helping to engage bargain shoppers.
The Vertive acquisition goes hand in hand with news from Buddy Media that they've launched a social commerce tool called ConversionBuddy. The tool helps brands track 'connections' through the social space - monitoring the number of shares and tweets, for example - so that conversion rates are optimized.
"We're in a world where turning fans and followers into real connections will be what makes a great company. Building those connections has a direct correlation to business success," said Michael Lazerow, Founder and CEO of Buddy Media. "Buddy Media has completely taken the guess work out of social marketing and is the first and only software solution that doesn't just measure qualitative data, but also measures how a brand's connections tie directly to sales and other conversions."
ConversionBuddy identifies brand advocates as well as valuable products/content for a brand; it further identifies the social networks and emails generating the best revenue per share to help drive traffic and sales.
