SEOmoz updates simplify link finding

The content within your website will engage consumers, but the links leading to your website content are key to getting those consumers onto the site in the first place. It's one of the first rules of search engine optimization - quality links lead to higher organic search results which leads consumers into your place of online business. Updates from SEOmoz may help brands find those quality links more quickly.

With the updates the SEOmoz platform can:

  • Identify pages linking to a brand's URL or specific page

  • Offer an 'authority' number to that link, letting brands know which links may enhance SEO

  • View hyperlinked text

  • Compare 'authority' between up to five sites linking to your pages

  • View the number of social 'shares' a branded URL has gotten

    SEO may not have the buzz that online video or social are getting, but search marketing is still one of the top customer engagers. Data from comScore shows that in June 2011 nearly billion explicit core searches, those searches not reflecting customer intent, were queried. More than 19 billion explicit core searches, those including partner sites, cross-channel and contextual information, were queried; of those 67% included organic search results. Those organic results are the kind which may be found using link identification - the more powerful those links, the better brands will fare with organic listings.
