Bizo taps Evidon for privacy regulation
As the conversation about data tracking heats up many advertisers are looking for ways to ensure their clientele that their private information is safe. Lead generation hub Bizo is hoping to answer some of those questions by increasing the regulation of how their information is collected and used; they have tapped Evidon to help them maintain and increase their compliance with do not track and other privacy initiatives.
Through the partnership Evidon will deliver in-ad notification on behalf of Bizo and their clients. This will allow Bizo's Advertising OptionIcon to be delivered at scale through display ads and websites and will also give consumers control over how their information is collected and then used.
"Targeted display advertising is part of one of the fastest growing segments of the industry and having a thought leader like Bizo as an advocate for industry self-regulation is a major win for advancing the cause and preserving industry growth," said Scott Meyer, founder and CEO of Evidon.
According to ADmantX CMO J. Brooke Aker, consumers' issues with privacy begin with them not understanding how marketers are tracking them, why and how that information is then used.
"Since day one, we've led the industry on privacy issues and were the first company in the market to launch an open cookie tool that allows business professionals to view and edit the specific business demographic information we track," said Russell Glass, CEO of Bizo. "We believe strongly in the spirit of staying open and transparent, and adding Evidon's technology to our existing platform is one more way we're providing choice and control to our customers."
