New Innovid unit enables interactive pre-roll units

A new ad unit from Innnovid allows brands to make any pre-roll ad interactive. Called iRoll Apps, the tool makes it easy for brands to include interactivity to all pre-roll campaigns within the Innovid space - what that means is the ads can be simply shared through users' social networks, coupons can be added for download, store locations can be included or purchases made.

The iRoll ad units are fully scalable, and no addition creative is needed in most cases. According to the company the interactive functions can be added to new or existing ad campaigns within a few minutes because the apps are created ahead of time. So, for example, Agency A could add a Facebook button or Store Locator icon to Client B's ad within a few minutes to show how the campaign will work. Once approved, that campaign can include the interactive options.

A lot has been said about social functions within advertising over the past few months; what agencies and brands have learned is that given the option, consumers do like to share information and deals about products/brands they like. One of the simplest ways to do that is through a social network, where the shared information is available on their wall or profile page. In addition, research shows that consumers are more interested in deals and coupons, with most downloading coupons prior to a grocery or store visit.
