Video platform matches consumers, brands
AdGenesis Digital has launched a new video platform which matches consumers with brands and rewards in real time. The platform allows the consumer to 'exchange' their buying preferences for relevant ads and rewards from brands. It is currently available on mobile and online platforms and will release soon for ITV.
"AdGenesis is the merging of branding and direct response delivering the audiences most likely to buy, guaranteeing each and every view and producing engagement and conversion rates no other platform achieves," said Richard Smullen, co-founder and CEO of AdGenesis Digital. "For consumers, AdGenesis creates an experience where they want to watch branded content and entertaining ads instead of skipping or blocking irrelevant marketing messages."
From the rewards angle, the AdGenesis platform presents consumers' offers for savings and incentives from preferred brands after the consumer releases information about their buying habits. Consumers can watch the ads and are even given the option to make immediate purchases. Each time the consumer returns to the site they are asked new questions about buying habits and brands so that more information is constantly added to the database.
The ads served, then, are based on those preferences so the message is more relevant than typically deployed 'one size fits most' ads. An added benefit? Because the consumer provides the information there are no sticky issues about the collection of behavioral data or privacy issues.
How does the consumer 'find' the ad? The platform tells them. Via text or email messages, the platform tells the consumer than a new branded ad is available for them and related to their interests; ads can be shared with other friends or interested parties as well, giving the ad a viral potential. Publishers can deploy the platform in both the online and mobile spaces to engage consumers through what is being called 'me-commerce'.
