Google AdWords advertisers can reach iPad users

Want in on the iPad ad goldrush? Never fear, Google's here and they're busy developing new formats aimed specifically at iPad users.

Google advertisers can already take advantage of the iPad hype and mammoth sales by selecting "all mobile devices" in their campaign settings under "networks and devices".

By selecting ads to be displayed on the iPad advertisers can reach the estimated 300,000 or so people who have already purchased the new mobile gadget.

But soon, AdWords advertisers will have even more control over marketing to iPad users. According to Google they are currently working on a way for advertisers to target the iPad specifically.

"It will appear in the coming days when you choose to "target only selected mobile devices". And don't worry - if you've already changed your AdWords settings to not appear on these mobile devices, your ads won't appear on the iPad," notes the AdWords blog.
