New platform to help marketers integrate email, existing software
If you're a small business already using applications and databases to track, plan and execute online campaigns you've probably noticed how hard it is to add additional interfaces to the software suites. Enter a new platform, GetResponse Developer Zone, which helps marketers integrate the GetResponse email platform with existing ecommerce platforms, CMS and CRM systems.
"SMB spending on software and self-service applications like GetResponse is expected to reach $35 billion by 2013," said Simon Grabowski, CEO of Implix, parent company for the GetResponse platform. "As. . .customers grow out of their home offices and larger companies continue to expand, the GetResponse Developer Zone will take us one step closer to making email marketing the most open, effective and affordable tool in the digital marketer's toolkit."
The platform works by integrating and automating the email platforms marketers use to contact consumers. It can be used with existing software or marketers/developers can create new applications specifically for their needs to update subscriber profiles, segment email lists or behaviorally targeting new campaigns. Lists can be segmented according to demographic geographic location or other data; marketers can even export consumer purchase history into the platform to better target new offers.
In addition to the developer platform, GetResponse is also releasing Dynamic Content to help marketers better personalize email messages and content to consumers.
As the Internet continues to evolve, marketers are finding that personalized messages have a better engagement and conversion rate. In fact, a recent survey of UK consumers found that nearly three-quarters don't mind having their personal information mined if it means a more direct, personal message from the advertiser.
