Fetchback: Is one ad enough?
Have you ever wondered how many online ads it might take to engage the consumer through the conversion process? Many marketers have and with good reason: sometimes one ad simply isn't enough. In some cases consumers need to see an ad or series of ads to truly engage with a product or service. Enter analysis from Fetchback which attempts to answer the 'how many ads does it take anyway' question.
"There isn't a standard answer to the question we are often asked 'How many retargeted ads will I need to show before I convert a prospect?'," says Chad Little, President and CEO of FetchBack. "These reports were developed to help advertisers understand the behavior of their clients, and adjust their creative messaging and offerings accordingly. This also allows FetchBack to ensure that each campaign is running optimally, creating the greatest value for our advertisers' spend."
Fetchback analyzed several different online sectors to come to their findings. According to the reports one clothing brand usually requires at least four ads before a consumer will fully convert. Conversely a brand for home products only needs two or three ads to take the consumer through the conversion process.
Although the results are generalized it may help other clothing brands or ecommerce hubs to know how other, similar brands/hubs are converting consumers.
