Anchor Intelligence, Oodle partner for classified traffic solution
A new partnership between metrics firm Anchor Intelligence and fraud detection unit Oodle could help marketers in the social space realize better quality traffic. The partnership will utilize Anchor's ClearMark technology to classify traffic quality in the social space.
"Oodle has always been focused on protecting the consumer by employing a variety of technologies and approaches," said Kevin Doerr, COO of Oodle. "At the same time, Oodle is focused on ensuring superior quality traffic to its thousands of advertisers and partners. ClearMark will contribute to Oodle's ad inventory optimization and traffic filtering programs, enabling us to deliver the highest quality clicks across a more secure platform."
The partnership works by giving marketers access to traffic quality information, thereby seeing where traffic originates and how that traffic is impacting the campaign. By giving traffic quality information for classified ads, the platform gives marketers even more transparency over ad buys throughout the online space
Oodle's classified ads are powered into the social space to platforms such as Facebook, MySpace and even AOL.
According to a recent Hitwise report Facebook has become the hottest social property online, increasing its base nearly 200% from September 2008 to September 2009. Myspace now accounts for online a 30% market share compared to Facebook's 58.5% market share. Tagged (2% market share), Twitter (1.8% market share) and myYearbook (1% market share) round out the top five social networks.
