New girl-centric website already going viral

There is a new place for young females to hang out, and they are flocking there like bees to honey. This week the Suddenly Darling website officially launched as a place for teenage girls and young women to congregate, chat fashion and get fashion tips. More importantly, the information provided isn't just a 'what's hot' hub, the site offers girls advice on self-worth, an area that has been woefully lacking both online and offline.

Why should marketers care about such a site? Because the access to this highly targeted demographic is crucial to revenue. Girls and young women are fashion trend-setters, so brands and retailers should always look for new areas in which to engage the audience.

"Advertisers and agencies looking to reach teen girls and young women have a new and highly targeted vehicle in Suddenly Darling that offers creative advertising units that complement the site as well as its numerous blogs, articles, celebrity interviews and video news updates," said Karen Paull, Suddenly Darling Sales Director. "This provides an exciting way to bring advertisers together with a growing base of users who have a demonstrated interest in great fashion and positive self-worth."

For marketers, the online hub offers traditional ad types as well as video ad opportunities surrounding the fashion and style content. Video can also be used in 'surround sessions' as well as 'roadblock opportunities'.

The site launched in beta over the summer months; thousands of girls logged on to become members. The site continues to build substantial numbers.
