JangoMail launches JangoSMTP for email marketers
A new release from JangoMail may make that next email campaign a bit simpler. Called JangoSMTP, the platform is the first SMTP relay service designed specifically for email marketers, giving marketers the ability to track opens and clicks, to utilize DomainKeys and has that advance email deliverability.
Earlier this year, JangoMail integrated their SMTP relay with Gmail; this new launch makes it even simpler for email marketers to send, track and change email marketing campaigns because it can be used with several email service providers - Gmail, Thunderbird and Microsoft Outlook are three - or it can be used through a corporate email server. With JangoSMTP marketers can still use sender identification, which is important for open rates, and they will also have access to sender logs so that communication with the consumer can be monitored.
"[We] noticed significant customer demand for SMTP relay functionality specific to email marketers," said Ajay Goel, President of JangoMail. "With the new site, we are poised to reach new customers in need of a reliable and advanced SMTP relay service."
In the grand scheme of things, does email still matter? Of course it does. Although social marketing and rich media may be getting more headlines, most consumers still feel lost without email connectivity. Consider this report from the Participatory Marketing Network, which found that Gen Y would abandon social networks in favor of texting and email connectivity.
Why?
Because, although social networks are raging, all of those status updates, friending opportunities and even branded virtual gift messages are sent through email. Social consumers are alerted to all things social through email, so they don't technically have to login to a social network to connect - they just need email.
