SpotMixer offers video ad creation for AdWords advertisers

Video marketers have one more way to attract attention through Google's AdWords platform. A partnership between SpotMixer and Google will place SpotMixer's video creation technology in Google's In-Stream Video Ads through AdWords. This gives marketers the ability to quickly create and distribute video ads on Google's Content Network or through YouTube.

spotmixer.jpgSpotMixer's platform is the only do-it-yourself creation platform offered in both Google TV Ads and through Google's Content Network. Through the platform marketers can easily create and distribute video ads to two highly trafficked areas, plus the platform allows ads to automatically convert existing AdWords text ads into video ads without one AdWords account.

Templates and content are changed so that ads for Marketer A will not be the same as ads created for Marketer B, plus ads can be customized by adding marketers or brands own photos, video or voiceovers; the ads can be either 15-second or 30-second ads.

"SpotMixer has been a great solution for our Google TV Ads advertisers and we're pleased that their solution is now also available to our advertisers as part of in-stream video ads on the Google Content Network," said Baljeet Singh, Google Product Manager for Video Monetization. "We think this will enable advertisers to get even stronger performance from video advertising on the Google Content Network."

Beginning today and running through October 5, 2009 SpotMixer and Google TV Ads are teaming up to offer smaller businesses a chance to win $25,000 in free advertising. Businesses with 300 or fewer employees are invited to create their own television ad, using SpotMixer's platform. The commercials will them be posted on YouTube and judges will determine the winner. Just how important will video advertising be in the coming years? According to an eMarketer report the video ad spend will reach $4 billion by 2013.
