JangoMail launches tracking function for email marketers
A new service from JangoMail, a permission based email marketing company, could help email marketers better track and adjust email marketing campaigns. A trackable SMTP Relay functionality has been added so that marketers can track clicks, domain keys signing and get delivery confirmation through email programs including Microsoft Outlook.
This is a first of it's kind service for email marketers. One of the early adopters is Comvigo, an online security company.
"The JangoMail SMTP Relay service allows IM Lock customers to send emailed reports and customer contacts directly from the desktop," said James Tanner, President at Comvigo. "We use an ActiveX control, and the configuration was quick and easy. We are able to create a high volume of formatted, trackable customer contacts without the risks and hassles of managing our own SMTP server."
Later this year JangoMail will add a dedicated site for the SMTP service. Currently the service is accessed through JangoMail's API. Using open and click tracking as well as domain key identified mail, marketers can more easily see who campaigns are faring and determine what adjustments should be made to maximize ROI over the life of a campaign.
