Greystripe launches CPM protection program
Although many mobile marketing programs have been built to help marketers capitalize on the burgeoning mobile marketplace, but some marketers are finding more problems than solutions in mobile advertising. Enter a new program from Greystripe, a rich media mobile ad platform, which guarantees a return on mobile marketing.
The eCPM protection program offers a guaranteed 25% revenue boost for mobile developers. Why do developers need this guarantee? Because more and more developers are finding that free apps are not delivering as they had hoped. In fact, most iPhone and CPMS are performing below expected levels, bad news for app developers and publishers.
"Our new program reinforces our commitment to establishing a sustainable CPM that promotes the free app ecosystem," said Michael Chang, CEO of Greystripe. "We're inviting all developers to try out our network and see the results first-hand."
According to Greystripe iPhone engagement, on average, is about 9.6 minutes of engagement per play and most apps are accessed 19 times throughout the life cycle, making the total use of an app somewhere around three hours. Although these numbers aren't horrible numbers, they do indicate a definite lifecycle for apps. By increasing the CPM, marketers can capitalize on apps over their short lifespan.
The guarantee is for 60 days. Publishers can sign up here. App developers and publishers who have distributed apps via other platforms are also eligible for the program.
