JangoMail adds FTP functionality
Permission based email marketing firm JangoMail has added File Transfer Protocol (FTP) functionality to the offerings. The FTP addition allows email marketers to quickly upload images, files and campaign lists to marketers' JangoMail accounts.
FTP allows marketers to upload PDF and Word documents to image libraries so that email campaigns can be quickly and easily personalized. Email lists may also be uploaded so that the list is automatically processed and imported for delivery. Marketers simply login to their preferred FTP client - FileZilla, CuteFTP or Internet Explorer - and then upload the images. There are no codes to write.
"With our new FTP offering, our customers can upload images, files and email campaign lists directly via FTP which improves greatly improves convenience and speed as users can manage multiple file uploads simultaneously," said Ajay Goel, President of JangoMail. "This is a unique offering for customers especially since very few email service providers offer an FTP interface for users to manage their respective accounts."
This is the second addition to JangoMail. Earlier this year the company upgraded the platform to include block-resistant images. With so many ISPs blocking email images automatically, marketers can lose out. By ensuring that images remain in the email marketers have a better chance of engaging the user.

Nice. I have been looking for an ESP that offers something like this. Surprising that other vendors haven't thought of this already.
