PointRoll launches AdControl

Rich media provider PointRoll has launched a new tool to help rich media advertisers keep a stronger grip on their campaigns and brand. Called AdControl, the new platform offers brand marketers the ability to produce and deliver rich media display ads in real time while at the same time making the most of campaign budgets and the performance of the ads.

"In today's market you need to quickly take advantage of any shift in consumer behavior, target effectively and interactively engage consumers to drive the best results," said Jason Tafler, PointRoll CEO. "AdControl ensures our clients can easily control and deliver the right message at the right time to each individual user in the most scalable and efficient manner possible."

Here is how the platform works: first an ad is produced by the brand or an advertising agency, including the use of video, images, product offers or content. From there the ad size is determined; marketers can choose pre-expandable, polite and floating ads. Then the ads are uploaded and micro-targeted based on the site, placement area, geography or even publisher-generated behavior. Demographic and contextual targeting options are also offered.
