New social advertising network launched by Shopit
Looking to get a little more social? A new social advertising network has been launched by Shopit Media; the ecommerce ad network is said to allow peer to peer, CPA and brand advertising.
Here is how the platform works: marketers set up ads for their products or services. The ads can be targeted to consumers within social communities. Peer to peer ads can be launched in or out of the Shopit Media network, giving marketers a bit of an edge when it comes to reaching social consumers.
"Shopit Media will give our sellers the chance to become advertisers", said Matt Hill, CEO of Shopit. "A simple and low cost process to drive transactions for any seller, whether it's a large brand looking for a specific demographic or someone coming from eBay that wants to reach people in social communities, our ad platform will facilitate their needs".
The Shopit network allows it's users to buy and sell products within the realm of social networks. There are nearly 1 million merchants currently with the platform, reach more than 350 million consumers on 40 different social communities. Merchants in the network can link their products or services from Shopit to any social site; listings can also be imported from ecommerce sites such as eBay and Yahoo Stores.
Shopit is currently in private Beta.
