Jivox launches affiliate video program
Online video advertising hub Jivox has announced plans for a video advertising affiliate program. The platform will give marketers using Jivox the ability to approach video advertising from three directions: as publishers, as an agency partner and as a referral partnership.
"[The program] allows all our partners to participate in the fast-growing online video advertising category by providing three levels of integration into our online video platform," said Jim Gustke, vice president of marketing and product management at Jivox. "The Jivox online video service is a modular platform that includes ad creation, online hosting and targeting, and access to the online publisher network, which allows our partners to offer all or some of its components."
Besides help in creating and serving the ads, the platform will give marketers a co-branded access page hosted by Jivox.
One other addition to the Jivox family will likely be of interest to video providers and marketers: the ability to embed videos from the Jivox network to other video hubs such as YouTube and Local.com. By allowing videos to be embedding through other websites, video providers can increase the length of time that their videos are drawing in new consumers because the audience at each site is 'fresh'.
According to company information Jivox saw strong growth in Q4 2008 as their customer base doubled and the number of ad views served from their network tripled.
