Krillion powers product search at

Just in time for last minute holiday shoppers, has partnered with Krillion for product search. Krillion is a local shopping search engine. This partnership gives consumers the ability to search for products online, locally, to determine which local stores carry the last-minute products on their holiday shopping lists.

This is a great addition as consumers are looking for this specific information; they no longer want to drive to many different stores to find a product so letting them know ahead of time where to shop is a benefit to businesses and brands.

Here is how the system works: a consumer simply searches for a store name; the listings appear along with a "This Week's Deal" tabs. By clicking on that tab the user can see what specials are running at their local department store. Consumers can also use mapping to get to their destination, create profiles and save searches as well as share their favorite local haunts with friends and family.

"By integrating Krillion's local shopping platform into its site, YELLOWPAGES.COM now offers the benefits of multichannel commerce--research and buy online, pick up at a local store within minutes--to its millions of users," said Joel Toledano, co-founder and CEO of Krillion. "We see YELLOWPAGES.COM as filling a crucial gap for online shoppers."

  • I think that is creating a niche for itself. This is a really good idea. It's nice, as a shopper, to have everything together. If you can buy something and gives you the stuff to be able to pick it up, directions, and the phone number--it saves a lot of hassle from actually having to look those things up at the companies site (which is sometimes hard to find).

  • It is really interesting to look back and see how events unfolded to bring us to where we are today. Now it is more or less expected that we will be able to find out exactly what a store has in inventory without ever getting off the couch (or doing it from our phone).

  • What the heck is a "Krillion"?
