SuperPages.com taps Krillion to power local search
Online directory SuperPages.com has tapped Krillion, a local shopping search company, to power their local shopping queries. Idearc Media Corp. and Verizon Yellow Pages are also part of the deal; together, the four hubs will give consumers the ability to search locally for products, order the products online and pick up in-store.
On SuperPages.com, consumers simply click the 'Check Local inventory for Great Deals' tab; this link then gives them real-time, in-stock information and pricing. More than 40,000 nationwide retailers will participate in the program.
Joel Toledano, CEO of Krillion said, "Our localized product search results and Superpages.com's quality consumer traffic connect more ready-to-buy consumers with retailers that provide in-store product availability nationwide."
Shopping and buying online but picking up in store is a trend that continues to grow around the world. Consumers like the flexibility of ordering online yet not having to wait for a product to be delivered to their door. Retailers like in-store pick up because researchers have found that consumers who pick up in store are likely to buy another $100 worth of products while picking up the item that was ordered.
More than a half-million businesses include their listing with SuperPages.com.
